The Father’s Grace
As a son or daughter when you approach your home (meaning back to your true heritage), your father sees you from a distance and is filled with compassion. He sees you and, embraces you, and kisses you. This act of compassion is spiritual, especially It shows the father’s eagerness and overwhelming love for his children. As children we should begin to confess our sins, as we are confessing our sins the father begins to clothe you with the best robe, a ring, and sandals. He orders the fattened calf to be killed for a celebratory feast, declaring, “For this child of mine was dead and is alive again; they were lost and is found” (Luke 15:24).
Lessons on Grace
- Unconditional Love: The father’s reaction to his son’s return is a powerful depiction of TMH’s love for us. Despite the son taking his portion of his inheritance and being wasteful, the father still welcomes him back without hesitation. This mirrors TMH’s grace, which is based on our actions of returning back to him.
- Forgiveness and Restoration: The father not only forgives his son but also restores him to his former position. The robe, ring, and sandals symbolize honor, authority, and sonship. This teaches us that TMH’s forgives us but also restores us to a place of dignity and fellowship with Him
- Joy in Repentance: The celebration that follows the son’s return highlights the joy that TMH and all of heaven experience when a sinner repents. It underscores the value of each individual to TMH and His desire for all to come to repentance
- Grace for his children: The parable also addresses the elder son’s resentment, reminding us that TMH’s grace is available to all of them that love him and do his will, regardless of their past or those who perceived to be righteous. The elder son, who stayed and worked faithfully, also needed to understand how to love and forgive those who go astray from the truth and accept them just as the father’s accepted him back.
- Conclusion The Parable of the Prodigal Son is a reminder of TMH’s grace. It lets us know that no matter how far we stray, TMH’s love remains steadfast, and He will always welcome us back. This story encourages us to embrace TMH’s words in our own lives and extend it to others of the fold, reflecting the boundless love of our Heavenly Father. We have many examples of grace in the bible that we can get true understanding of it. That are found in the bible this parable tells of a young man who demands his inheritance his inheritance is the laws of TMH and he squanders it on reckless living meaning instead of living a life pleasing to TMH. His focus was pleasing his flesh but when a severe famine arises, he finds himself destitute and decides to return home, hoping to be treated as a hired servant. Meaning in his mind he was thinking he wouldn’t be worthy of the inheritance giving to him from the very beginning. However, his father sees him from a distance and runs to embrace him, filled with compassion. Instead of reprimanding his son, the father joyfully welcomes him back, under the New Covenant under the direction of The Master who shows us how we can connect back to TMH through his blood. This powerful story exemplifies the boundless grace of God, giving us true understanding that no matter how far one strays, there is always the opportunity for forgiveness and reconciliation. It emphasizes that grace is freely given, if you confess and turn away from sin using The Master as an example that we should follow.
