In the book of Psalms, it is written: “For behold, Your enemies make a tumult; And those who hate You have lifted up their head. They have taken crafty counsel against Your people, And consulted together against Your sheltered ones” (Psalm 83:2-3). Similarly, in the book of Nehemiah, we see opposition to the rebuilding of Jerusalem’s walls: “But when Sanballat the Horonite, Tobiah the Ammonite official, and Geshem the Arab heard of it, they laughed at us and despised us, and said, ‘What is this thing that you are doing? Will you rebel against the king?'” (Nehemiah 2:19). These passages highlight the persistent challenges and adversities faced by TMH’s people throughout history.
