To approach the throne of TMH and honor your earthly father, a heart of humility and modesty must accompany your appearance, for outward attire is an expression of inner reverence. Scripture teaches us in 1 Timothy 2:9-10 that women should “adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array; but which becometh women professing godliness with good works.” This passage underscores that one’s clothing should reflect a spirit of godliness and not seek attention through extravagance or vanity. Similarly, Proverbs 31:30 reminds us, “Favor is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the Lord, she shall be praised.” While outward beauty fades, the fear of the Lord endures as a mark of true adornment. It is through approaching TMH and your earthly Father with humility, shamefacedness, and a sober heart that one not only honors the Creator but also manifests respect for earthly authority, such as a father. This mindset of modesty and reverence in all things conveys a deep acknowledgment of the sanctity of both heavenly and earthly relationships.
