The Messiah emphasized this in Matthew 7:24-25, saying, “Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock.” Similarly, 1 Corinthians 3:11 reminds us, “For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ.” By grounding our lives in Scripture, we ensure that we are anchored in truth and able to withstand life’s challenges. As Psalm 119:105 declares, “Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path,” guiding us in every step we take.
