Building on the Foundation of The Most High’s Word in 2024

In our journey of faith, building a strong foundation is crucial. The Word provides us with profound insights and guidance on how to establish our lives on the solid rock of TMH’s Word. Here are some key Scriptures and reflections to help us understand and apply this principle.

The Parable of the Wise and Foolish Builders

In Matthew 7:24-27, Jesus shares the parable of the wise and foolish builders:

“Therefore everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts on them is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain fell, the torrents raged, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because its foundation was on the rock. But everyone who hears these words of Mine and does not act on them is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. The rain fell, the torrents raged, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell—and great was its collapse!” (Matthew 7:24-27)

This passage emphasizes the importance of not only hearing but also acting upon The Messiah’s’ teachings. A life built on obedience to TMH’s Word stands firm against life’s storms.

The Messiah as the Only Foundation

The Apostle Paul underscores the significance of The Messiah as the foundation of our faith in

1 Corinthians 3:10-11

“By the grace God has given me, I laid a foundation as an expert builder, and someone else is building on it. But each one must be careful how he builds. For no one can lay a foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ.” (1 Corinthians 3:10-11)

Paul reminds us that The Messiah is the only true foundation. Our spiritual lives must be constructed upon Him to ensure stability and growth.

The Church Built on the Apostles and Prophets

In Ephesians 2:19-22, Paul further elaborates on the foundation of the Church:

“Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with God’s people and also members of His household, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus Himself as the chief cornerstone. In Him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord. And in Him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by His Spirit.” (Ephesians 2:19-22)

This passage highlights the communal aspect of our faith, with The Messiah as the cornerstone. Together, we are being built into a holy temple for the TMH.
